Dear Clients of Black Mountain Road Pet Clinic,
Like the rest of the world, we are closely watching the developments of COVID-19. The staff at Black Mountain Road Pet Clinic always puts the control of infectious agents in dogs and cats very seriously and are going one step further to be available to our patients and keep their humans as safe and healthy as possible.
Starting Tuesday, March 17th, in effort to help prevent the spread of diseases we will implement social distancing practices. We will require pet parents to drop-off their pets for their appointments to minimize the need for human interaction. We understand that COVID-19 is very scary and many people are worried about themselves or their loved ones contracting it, so our lobby will be closed to the public and we will be using our “transfer kennels” just inside of our front doors to check in patients. The doctor will perform an exam and we will contact you via telecommunications (email, text, phone, or video call) to go over what your pet needs.
If your pet needs medication refills, we can ONLY accept payment via our secured online pay portal or at the pay station located at our farthest door on the right for your convenience. When your pet’s medications are ready for pick up, come to our door on the farthest right, let us know who you are picking up medications for, and we will bring your medication out to you.
If you are feeling sick at all, please let us know ahead of time so that we may properly prepare for your pet’s arrival or if you can arrange for someone else to bring your pet for you, that would be ideal. Depending on the appointment load, we may close earlier or for the day than what is posted on our website and social media.
Thank you for your patience and understanding while we work through this unexpected event. We will update you as more information becomes available.
